All third graders and above are invited to serve God and the congregation by being acolytes at our Sunday morning services. Training takes place on the 3rd Sunday of September during the Sunday School hour. Acolytes, working in pairs, are responsible for five things during the service: 1) lighting the candles during the organ prelude, 2) collecting the offering plates from the ushers, 3) emptying communion glasses during the Eucharist, 4) holding the liturgy notebook for the assisting minister so that s/he can read the prayers of the people, and 5) extinguishing the candles at the conclusion of the service. These are very important duties and add richness to the worship experience at PRLC.  Contact Tina Georgeson for more information.
