At Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, we believe service and outreach are vital for any community attempting to follow Christ.  We hope to fill up with God’s love in order to spill it out into our community.  We serve out of abundance, not obligation.  In this process, we meet Christ in those we serve, and are open to being dramatically changed through the relationships we build and the lives we encounter.  This life-giving activity takes many forms at PRLC, including:

The PRLC Food Bank meets the grocery needs of around 75 families every week with a generous food box and produce bag assembled and distributed by an all-volunteer army of workers.  Plenty of volunteer opportunities!

PRLC’s Outreach Ministry offers direct financial assistance for individuals or families in need of help.  Donations can be made to the PRLC Outreach Fund through the church office, and requests for assistance sent to Minister of Outreach Patrick, 206-783-2350.

The Phinney Houses Ministry, run partnership with Community Psychiatric Clinic, provides two homes owned by the church as group housing for mentally ill residents.

Lutheran Counseling Network is an extension of the church’s ministry, providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families.

We participate in neighborhood events throughout the year making sure our doors are open, the coffee is hot, and a warm smile greets every visitor to the Greenwood-Phinney Art Walk, the Greenwood Car Show, the Greenwood Seafair Parade, and the Neighborhood Safe Halloween Trick-or-Treat event.  Volunteers are always needed for these fun events.

Thank you for your support of these and many other service and outreach ministries of PRLC.  Is the Holy Spirit moving in you to develop a new way to serve God’s people?  I’d love to hear about it and assist in any way I can.  I’ll see you Sunday morning, by email, or by phone (206-783-2350).

Peace be with you,

Minister of Outreach Patrick Meagher
