Lent

Where do you get that Living Water?

Lenten devotions are available today.
These reflections, written by PRLC friends, are available from the ushers. They may be used as a guide for prayer and reflection during Lent.

Christian Spirituality in Everyday Life

Spirituality is a well-known word that is applied to many types of practices among persons searching for meaning in their lives. The spirituality of Christians alone is diverse and includes faith practices we may not consider consonant with our faith but help us recognize the mystery of God in all things. We kick off this Lenten experience with Rick Steves discussing “Travel as a spiritual act.” on Sunday, March 5. The series then continues Wednesday evenings during Bread for the Journey, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Here is the schedule …

The Second Sunday in Lent, March 5

6:30 p.m. – Lenten Evening Prayer
7:00 p.m. – The Spirituality of Travel with Rick Steves

Wednesdays at Bread for the Journey –
BFJ Soup Supper, 6:00 p.m.

Presentation, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

March 8 – Shaping a spiritual practice for every day  - Pastor Bryon Hansen

March 15 – Baking Bread as spiritual practice - Pastor Anne Lohrmann

March 22 – Art as spiritual practice - Larkin Van Horn

March 29 – The Spirituality of Baseball - Deacon Patrick Meagher

Pray for a friend this Lent!

During Lent, we will have Prayer Raindrops available in the narthex. Each droplet will have the name of another PRLC member, who you can pray for throughout Lent. Be as creative with this as you want to. You might send them a note to let them know you’re praying, or get together for coffee to learn more about their specific prayer needs. Or, just pray their name each day. Bonus: Know that whether you hear from your partner or not, someone will be praying for YOU!
