You may have heard President Obama’s recent speech on the need for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR). We have been working toward this goal for a long time at PRLC, but now may be the season of opportunity. To keep this momentum growing the Indonesian Lutheran Fellowship and PRLC will host a CIR advocacy training. Participants will learn about our immigration system from a faith perspective and partner with local immigration advocates. The training takes place Saturday July 31, 2010 from 9 am to 4 pm in the Tree of Life Room. This program is designed to equip church leaders with the necessary tools to return to their church and organize an advocacy effort. Please consider inviting along friends and associates from outside the PRLC circle. Lunch is provided so please sign up with Don Boelter at dboelter@prlc.org so we know how many to provide for. There is no cost for this training but a freewill offering will be collected for lunch.
